Remember the “Shot Heard ‘Round the World” from Ralph Waldo Emerson? He wrote that line to remember the first armed engagement between the British and colonial militiamen at the Battles of Lexington and Concord in Massachusetts on April 19, 1775.
The first Patriots’ Day.
On April 15, 2013 —the “Explosion Heard ‘Round the World” will be remembered.
A friend of WhyGirl who lives in Boston had a worthwhile commentary about the tragedy—
“As you know, last week was an unforgettable time of tragedies here in Boston. Fortunately, no one I know was at the marathon. I have been glued to the television for days and days because of the bombings. Even now after the second brother was captured, I continue to watch the aftermath. Funerals and memorials for the four people killed. So many people still in the hospitals here, so many people without legs whose lives are changed forever. Politicians trying to make points about subjects not really related to these two young bombers, but trying to make them related. To me, this is another example of the continuing extremely partisan and dysfunctional nature of our political system.”

A reliable source from the UK explains the difference—
If a Catholic is taking a Shower and has to pee,
he/she will pee in the shower. No worries.
But if a Protestant has to pee, he/she will step out of the shower and pee in the toilet.
That’s ONE distinction between church and church. —WhyGirl.com
